The new production of the opera Daphne by Richard Strauss was taken over by Romeo Castellucci.

In this opera, the young Daphne lives in a world characterised by cold and covered in snow.

 

 

Our white theatre snow was the basis for the stage design for this tragedy.

We find it amazing that the State Opera allowed us to look behind the scenes at the realisation of this performance and let us have a little peek into the world of exciting stage construction and staging!
